When, years ago, a favorite relative told me Père Lachaise was her number one place to visit in Paris I just didn’t get it. Now that I’ve been there myself at least a dozen times I understand. The peaceful beauty of the place is very calming; a quiet oasis inside a very active city. Here’s a sampling of what I saw on a walk this morning.
