Ichetucknee in January

Now that the heat of summer and pattern of afternoon thundershowers have arrived in North Central Florida I find myself occasionally thinking back to cooler days. January is a great time to visit the Ichetucknee, whether by kayak or on foot. With most of the leaves gone from the trees it’s actually easier to spot wildlife like this red shouldered hawk.
