Paris on the 4th of July

What does an American in Paris do on the 4th of July while, back home, everyone seems to be grilling, going fishing or to the beach, or watching fireworks displays? Despite our occasional differences, the United States and France have a long history of cooperation and respect, so how about photographing a bit of the evidence? Every picture below relates to the U.S.A. in some way: from the street names, the statues of George Washington, and the Place des États Unis.

Happy 4th of July to my family and friends in the U.S.A!
